Nelisiwe Faith Sibiya now has three awards this year, with the latest one she won last week Friday at Sebenza women’s Awards.
Durban- Congratulations are in order for Durban Gen’s actress, Nelisiwe Faith Sbiya who bagged her third award recently.It goes without saying that 2021 is the best year to her career. She has got lot of recognition for that. Looking at the awards she has bagged this year, shows how her work is absolutely good.
You can tell that Sibiya is aiming for the stars as she climbs up the entertainment industry ladder.
Nelisiwe Sibiya popularly known for her role on Durban Gen as Dr Mbali Mthethwa has been awarded with a Sebenza Women Award that only honours women from different industries.
The awards were held last week at Nto’s boutique Hotel in LaLucia, founded by the legend in Media, Kini Shandu, who is former Gagasi FM presenter and Daily Thetha host.
This year was the fourth installment of these awards and they looked all glitz and glamour with the theme, Elegance Black.
Sibiya ensured she sticks to the theme as she was wearing a beautiful black elegant black.
Nominated with women who have been in the acting industry for years, with the likes of Phindile Gwala from Imbewu, Nompilo Maphumulo from Uzalo and Nozuko Ncayiyane from Diepcity, Sibiya said this was an honour because it showed that she is doing something right.
Earlier on this year in April, she bagged her first acting award in Zambia.
The actress said she is humbled after winning the Best Actress prize at the international Zikomo Awards for her role in the hit telenovela Durban Gen.
Taking to social media, the star announced her win at the awards ceremony in Lusaka, Zambia, flying the SA flag high.
It was the star’s first acting award ever, and was won on the international stage. She dedicated the win to all young black African girls with big dreams.
“It’s amazing! I was not expecting this, especially because this is my first acting award and I am basically very, very new when it comes to acting.
In August she won an actress of the year award in Nigeria.
Nelisiwe Sibiya took to her social media to announce she has bagged the Actress of The Year award at the Screams Awards.
Nelisiwe went on to thank her followers for making it possible.
