The entertainment industry is one of the most difficult industries in South Africa .It comes with a lot of fame and spotlight .They have a lot of strict rules especially in acting .Sphelele Mzimela former actress of SABC 1 soapie Uzalo found out how harsh the industry can be after she was fired for being pregnant.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Her career was just taking off when she landed the role of Mazaza on Uzalo but unfortunately it was cut off because of being pregnant.The story lines of soapies are written way before so something as unexpected as a pregnancy can really mess up a lot of things .She was replaced by another girl who continued the character until it ended .

Sphelele gave birth to two beautiful boys ,they are twins and is now a mother.She is constantly posting pictures of her beautiful children and she considers them as a blessing even though she lost her job after she got pregnant with them .See more pictures of her and the twins .

Sphelele seems to be doing well and she has also gone back to acting and bagged a few roles in some productions .She is also a full time mother and wife and from her posts she is so happy to do that.

Its really sad that women continue to be mistreated like this for things they have no control over , getting pregnant comes naturally and women should not be made to suffer for it by losing their jobs and having their salaries cut .
