The late much loved actor and producer Mr Sho’s memorial service was held two days after he was laid to rest in Joburg, Maake Ka-Ncube being the programme director of the event. Mzansi was robbed of a great man who, above all, believed in true love.
Despite reeling on the untimely death of her affectionate husband, Connie Furguson shared every little detail about the day they met, 20 years back, a time when she had lost all “hope in love”.
The veteran actress revealed that she was struck by Shona’s way of laughing and during those days, a baggy suit was worn by gentlemen and he was wearing one when the two met.
“He turned around. Our eyes locked at that moment and he gave me the best smile. All l saw was this radiant smile,” she said.
Still without power from the departure of her dear partner, she share one of the messages Shona sent to heron 29 April 2017. It contained some lovely details how Connie asked for his number, on the third day of their dating, they had a friendly kiss,hence such sweet memories make her day.
“l am not crying today, l will cry later. Today I chose to celebrate my husband, l chose to celebrate a giant. My husband was a showman, not a show-off but a showman.”
She further explained that she missed him dearly and her biggest concern is hoping to see him every morning. Above that she said Shona’s legacy is Furguson Films and it will continue to grow strong.
