Rhythm City just broadcasted its last episode yesterday(16 July 2021), and Mzansi couldn’t help but appreciate the talented actors who made us look forward to tune in to Etv at 7pm weekdays. It was such an emotional episode for viewers and Rhythm City crew after 14 years of production. Rhythm City brought us a lot of talent with the likes of Jamie Barlett well known as David Genaro and his daughter Pearl Genaro real name Petronella Tshuma.

When David Genaro left Rhythm City February last year, his daughter Pearl took it upon herself to avenge her father’s death and make whoever responsible pay. Born in Zimbabwe, Petronella moved to South Africa and began her acting career. Petronella appeared in numerous television drama series including starring roles in SABC 2 drama Plain Street season 4 and SABC 1 law drama Sokhulu & Partners season 3.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Petronella won a Golden Horn Award for best actress in a television soapie, early this year. The lovely actress has 2 beautiful baby boys which she occasionally shares some pictures on social media showing how much she appreciates them.

Her role in Rhythm City as Pearl Genaro secured her with a lot of followers and popularity on television. She’s a very talented and beautiful actress we hope to see her on our screens again since Rhythm City has ceased production.
