Life Early
Grew In Durban, where she spent most of her life, Asavela was born. She is the daughter of the South African football trainer Manqoba Mngqithi.
She grew up in an isiZulu-speaking township called Lamontville and she is also fluent in IsiXhosa.
Education
She studied Camera and Modification at AFDA College. Founded in 1994 in Johannesburg, AFDA is now located within a stone’s throw of the National Television SABC’s 10 000-square-meter campuses.
