in the passed recent years, The gender based violence has slowly become a pandemic on its own. Many people are coming out and speaking up against their partners who were and are still abusing them.

One person who has caught the eye of many South Africans is the Uzalo actor, Nyawo. Nyawo has recently pleaded with South Africans to help him against his partner, who is abusing him domestically. According to the actor, the abuse has gotten out of hand to a point whereby he fears for his life.”i recently took out a protection order but none of that seem to be working. Everyday when i wake up i fear for my life, and i simply cant take that anymore” said the actor.

Many people were left saddened because no one deserves to go through what he goes through. Gender based violence can have long lasting effects on an individual whether that individual is a male or a female. According to the actor, he gave up on going to the nearest police station each times it happens because he can feel that he is not being taken serious enough because it is a male suffering at the hands o a female.

May God watch over him, and give him the strength to get through the terrible ordeal that is currently happening to him.
