There Is Definitely Two Sides To “AKA” and “Nelli’s” Love Narrative.

While investigations are underway into the ‘suicidal death’ of Anele “Nelli” Tembe information and images have emerged that show that she was being abused by her fiancé Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

A close friend to Anele supplied images and footage to News24 and the police of an incident that occurred a month prior to “Nelli’s” death.

The images and footage released to News24 show award-winning rapper “AKA” violently breaking down a wooden door to enter the bedroom he shared with Anele in their Bryanston apartment in Johannesburg.

According to the close friend, Miss Tembe had allegedly run into their bedroom to escape from the violent blows coming from Forbes. The woman also said that Tembe recorded her fiancé breaking down the door in their Bryanston apartment.

The close friend to the deceased has decided to speak out and explained to News24 that Anele had shared with her that Forbes had banged her face against a wall during a fight in their apartment after which she locked herself in the bedroom. “Nelli” took pictures and video of the attack and sent them to her. In the video, Forbes is seen violently breaking down the wooden door of the bedroom with his bare hands. Anele’s friend said she wanted women to be shielded from such attacks and wanted to remain anonymous for fear of intimidation.
The same video footage and images were also handed over to the police in Cape Town who are conducting an inquiry into the death of Anele.

Anele’s friend also handed over three pictures to News24 that show Tembe in pain and shock after the alleged assault. She went to her friend’s house who helped her nurse the bruises by placing bags of frozen food on them.

She reported that Anele sought protection from people close to her whenever she was attacked by AKA. Also, that AKA became extremely violent whenever he was under the influence of drugs and had picked up Anele from AKA’s house in the early hours of the morning anytime he attacked her.

After receiving this footage and images News 24 sent questions to Forbes’ through his publicist, Pumza Nohashe concerning the Bryanston incident and asked him to explain the reason he broke down the door, and if he had assaulted Tembe before breaking down the door, and whether he was under drug influence during this particular incident.

Forbes and his publicist did not respond to News24, rather they released a statement on his social media pages which described Forbes’ relationship with Tembe as “beautiful, yet challenging” in the same statement claimed he was aware of people who have contacted the media in an attempt to influence the ongoing police inquest into the death of his fiancé.

In the same statement, “AKA” lambasted reports of alleged violence and drugs in his relationship with his Tembe. The YouTube video linked below has another side to the narratives being presented. It is important to wait for the investigators to conclude with their investigations before anyone could be named as the guilty party.
