Former South African minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba’s ex-wife, Norma Mngoma’s secret revelations on Instagram left Mzansi in tears.
Norma Mngoma narrated her story in three parts describing what transpired from the first day she appeared in court, how she had been arrested at her house.
“I remember that morning my ex-husband was typing my assignment and i was writing my other assignment because i was behind with my school work. Since all my gadgets were taken by the Hawks, he came in my room and said the hawks are here.
I jumped with a smile thinking they were bringing my gadgets. When i got there they said, i was under arrest,” she said.
Norma revealed that her body froze as she gets told that she only had five minutes to get ready by four Hawks and two ladies went with her in her bedroom.
She revealed how she spent the whole weekend in a police cell as her lawyers tried to contact the hawks who were not reachable.
“It was tough on that night, it was too cold and i was sharing a cell with two ladies, they slept early and i was in disbelief that i was there.
I was still trying to figuring out how do i sleep on the cold small mattress on the floor. I was even scared to go pee in front of strangers,” she said.
Gigaba’s ex-wife says she had never imagined that love could turn into hate and betrayal when she had supported Malusi even when he didn’t deserve her loyalty due to cheating allegations that were out in the public.
Apart from everything that she had been through, and her charges now dropped, Norma Mngoma says she chose to forgive her ex-husband as part of her healing process and for the sake of their kids.
“Life has more in store for me and I’m ready for it,” she said
