Gqom And Kwaito Music Star Mampintsha Surrenders After Refusing To Pay Back A Sum Of R20 000

Famous Mampintsha ended up surrendering from a misunderstanding and argument between him and an event organiser which started last year.

This past year isolezwe newspaper reported about Mampintsha refusing to give back a sum of R20 000 that was payed to him to perform at an event which was held on 5th December at Encore Lounge & Shisanyama in Waterloo, but he didn’t show up. Mampintsha’s management team said it clearly that they won’t pay back this money and this has forced the Event organisers to pass the matter to the lawyers.

‘After opening the case we met up with his manager Sbu Ncube, we came up with a decision that we would organise another event and use the money to pay Mampintsha’s debt. The event was set to be on the 1st of May 2021 and West Ink has offered to add more artists to the performance list for free to show how regretful they are.’

Sbu also confirmed that they are planning to revisit all the places they couldn’t show up at during last year December holidays.

‘We are trying by all means not to have a bad mark on our name’ stated Ncube.

Event organiser Sanele Masuku stated that they started by paying a sum of R20 000 which was agreed upon.

‘We paid a deposit of R10 000 on the 6th November and three days later Mampintsha’s manager requested us to pay all the remaining balance as the event was going to be on the 15th. We paid the remaining balance. The event was going to be held at Waterloo, as the 20th to the 22nd of November approached we found out that he is booked at another nearby event to perform on the 4th December.’

‘When we asked Mampintsha’s manager he told us that’s crime, there’s no such a thing. Later he admitted that there is another event they they’re booked at. We continued with our event because we had aready pushed it.’ Stated event organiser Sanele Masuku

Masuku revealed that Mampintsha did not show up on every event he was booked at, on the 4 and 5th December.

‘We tried calling them and they didn’t answer our calls, when we managed to get hold of them they told us to organise another event. We agreed but requested for Mampintsha to record a video apologising to the community of Waterloo for not performing at their event on 5th December which didn’t happen. This is why we have decided to report the matter to the lawyers.’ Concludes Masuku
