SA Idols finalists Zama Khumalo and Brandon Dhludhlu have just opened up about their new romance and the country is thrilled for them.
When 19-year-old Zama Khumalo entered SA Idols, she might not have been sure what she would get out of the competition – if anything at all! At worst, she might have hoped for some exposure, at best, the Idols crown. As it turns out, she got all of the above and even more!
The country has been buzzing with delight ever since learning that she not only walked away from the competition with R1 million in her pocket, but with a new romance too. It’s been confirmed that Zama and fellow contestant Brandon Dhludhlu began dating on the show and are now an item!
Mzansi gushes over Zama and Brandon
Although February is still a month away (we still need to get through all 10 weeks of Januworry!), we can certainly say that love is in the air. Idols singers, Zama and Brandon made headlines this week as they officially became 2021’s first, new high profile celebrity couple after opening up about their romance on social media.
Zama, who won the 16th season of the popular singing show shared a picture of herself cuddled up with fellow top-3 finalist, Brandon. Within a day, the picture had already received over 1000 likes as the lovers made their romance public.
We spoke to a source who worked on the set of SA Idols and they were willing to confirm some information about their romance by saying, “Although it wasn’t extremely obvious, some of us could tell that something might be happening between these two. I could tell she liked him and he was a bit flirty, but I didn’t know they were dating already! They are both good people and now they will both be in the industry as well”Zama’s plans for 2021
It looks as if 2021 is going to be a very exciting year for Zama. Not only will she have a handsome new partner to navigate the year alongside, but she will also be launching her career after winning Idols and singing to Kalawa Jazmee (the same record label that houses artists such as DJ Zinhle, Oskido and Busiswa).
Speaking on her career plans for the year, Zama revealed to Daily Sun that she would like to work some of the artists on the stable as well as a few other notable South African artists.
