Uzalo will never be the same without Baby Cele. Since joining the award winning SABC 1 telenovela, Baby Cele has won the hearts of South Africans with her role of the controversial character Kabisile. Now fans of Uzalo will be surprised to hear the sad news that Baby Cele is leaving the show, for a new role which she says will be different from Kabisile.

Cele joined the Uzalo cast back in 2018, having to leave Joburg and reside in Durban. It was a difficult moment for the award winning actress as she was just married, and for the past two years she had to deal with long distance relationship, and being far from family. According to Cele her character won’t permanently exit the show, meaning she might be recalled in future.

In the soapie Gabisile plays the role of wife to a pastor, but her devious acts which include murder are finally catching up with her. Police are all over her case and this time, it looks like she won’t escape the prison sentence.

The former Sarafina actress has been in the entertainment industry for almost 38 years. It was not an easy road, but she is happy with her achievement. The Uzalo cast has been chopping actors since airing on SABC 1, only time will tell if her exit from the show will affect viewership.
