Lunga Shabalala is a South African actor, TV presenter, and model. He was born on the 22nd of May 1989 in Pietermarizburg in KwaZulu-Natal. Lunga rose to fame as a presenter on the SABC 1 entertainment and variety TV show, Selimathunzi. He got his first acting role on the soap opera The River, where he was playing the role of Lindani Dhlomo.

Lunga Shabalala left The River after his character, succumbed to his injuries after a vicious fight with Mabutho. Shabalala who was in the show for the past three seasons bid farewell to his character in November 2020. Many people were celebrating when Lunga was leaving the show as his acting skills were questioned. Many were saying Shabalala doesn’t know how to act.

Shabalala who was dating the talented Thando Thabethe has landed himself another TV gig. It was announced by the entertainment commentator Phil Mphela that Lunga will be playing the role of Mzizi’s model C son on the Legacy SA. Mzizi is the character that plays by Siyabonga Twala on the show.
