Sindi Dlathu is an Award-winning Actress who has been in the entertainment industry since she was only 13, she started off as an extra on the legendary South African movie Sarafina.
She is best known for her role on Sabc2’s Tshivenda Soapie Muvhango were she play a loving, caring and sweet Nomthandazo Buthelezi for decades.
In 2018 Sindi left Muvhango after many years to join a new Telenovela, The River on 1magic were she plays a ruthless Mine owner Lindiwe Dikana who grew up poor and would do anything to avoid going back to being poor.
Sindi Dlathu joining The River allowed South African to see another side of her that they have never seen before, her character on The River is the total opposite of what she played her on Muvhango, She showed how diverse and how good of an actress she is.
The telenovela instantly became a hit, on its first year The River won numerous awards on the DSTV Viewer’s Choice Awards including best lead Actress and best supporting Actor.
Year after year The Telenovela gets more nominations than any other Telenovela in the country.
This promotion would be a huge milestone in her career, Media commentator Phil Mphela reported that Sindi is promoted to co-executive producer.
She has been a major factor of the success of the show because she is the lead.
