When hearing how much Connie Ferguson’s Worth is, one can only be shocked. We tend to associate her high quality work with an international pay standard. Sadly, this is not the case in South Africa.
To prove this, let me just ask you at this point to estimate Connie Ferguson‘s net worth, and then compare to what it really is. She has been in the industry since the days of CCTv!
According to The Net Worth Portal, As of 2020, Connie Ferguson Net Worth is at least $2 million, with an estimated monthly income of R75 000. It’s very hard to know the exact Connie Ferguson Net Worth. However, Connie is one of the most successful businesswomen and actresses in South Africa. Connie has several sources of income.
This might sound impressive, but is it really? Someone we consider one of the most successful businesswomen earns about R75k per month.
Does this even make sense?
While I would like to take Net Worth Portal’s findings with a pinch of salt, I need to express that $2million is in the R40million region. That might look grand to the average Joe, but not if one understands how much production companies take home.
For someone who co-owns a production company, “Ferguson Film,” one would expect the network to be around her male counterparts i.e Clive Morrison etc.
One might argue that her production company is fairly new, but the company releases many quality shows a year then Clive Morrison does in a five year period. In the USA Tyler Perry took big production companies by storm even when his company was still in it’s infancy, he was able to own a huge chunk of the entertainment market.
The Ferguson Film production company was launched in 2010 and has produced hit shows such as iGazi, The Gift, Rockville, The Throne, Kings of Joburg, The Queen, The River and The Imposter.
Connie has many other business interests, and surely cannot be ear marked to be in the R40million range still. Is this a South African thing, or an issue that is a direct result of her gender and/or skin colour?
Connie also owns a body lotions for women company called “Koni Multinational Brands,” with a range of lotions and “ConnieM Eyewear.”
In 2018, Connie Ferguson was on the cover of Forbes Woman Africa magazine.
Ferguson is definetly worth being on cover magazines, but not be raking in the small change that is the norm in the south African entertainment arena.
Ferguson is worth much more then what is perceived to be her net worth.
