Soccer players take many years to perfect their crafts but that may come with many hours in the training grounds and gym. Some have the support of a mother, some of a wife there’s always a woman behind every man’s success.

Getting to know Mrs Tshabalala.

1. Bokang Montjane was born on 30 April 1984 in Transvaal, South Africa.

2. She is nicknamed Kgoshigadi Ya Afrika Borwa. Her favourite colour is green.

3. She attended school at Matebele Primary, Kgaganoko Primary, Pietersburg comprehensive school and the Capricorn High School.

4. Of her school subjects, she loved languages, literature, accounting and history. Especially South African history.

5. She was born and raised in the village of Ga-Mphahlele in Transvaal now known as Limpopo.

6. Prior to competing in Miss South Africa, she participated in Miss Earth 2007 and Miss International 2009, in Chengdu, China.

7. She was crowned Miss South Africa in 2010.

8. She started dating Siphiwe Tshabalala in 2012, in 2015 the couple would welcome a son. In 2016 they official got married.

9. Her most inspiring moment was and is still the first moment she held her son.

10. Bokang’s favourite movies of all time are Sarafina, Remember the Titans and Coach Carter.
