Drama around Bushiri’s permanent residence in Mzansi gets hectic

The drama around Bushiri’s permanent residence in South Africa is getting hectic for him to handle.

An eNCA report has stated that two home affairs officials have been been suspended for granting Bushiri and his wife Mary permanent residence in South Africa. According to the home affairs, the permanent residence was incorrectly granted to the couple which is currently in jail, facing charges of fraud and money laundering of over 102 million rands.

Bushiri and his wife are also facing a charge of contravening some provisions of the Immigration Act.

ENCA has stated that according to a legal document, the suspended officials had wrongly captured and granted Bushiri’s application for permanent residence.

Speaking to eNCA, minister of home affairs Mr Aron Motsoaledi said the officials’ role in the Bushiri saga is being probed.

Meanwhile, the Bushiris remain behind bars while waiting for their bail hearing which has been postponed to Monday.

In the other news, supporters and followers of the self-acclaimed prophet are adamant that their papa is not guilty. Some are blackmailing the South African government, saying that if Bushiri and his wife are not released, they will not be voting in the next national elections
