Metro FM decided to honour the legend and give him his flowers while he can still smell them. In a surprise visit, the station management and colleagues decided to gate-crash his show to honour him.
Mo Flava delivered a heart-warming appreciation to the radio Legend while thanking him for his very long and continued services, the clearly surprised legend was his usual humble and friendly self while Mo Flava spoke in front of their colleagues. Oskido was also in the mix to honour the radio legend and his fans were really touched by the gesture from Metro FM management.I’ve listened to Wilson Bafana Nkosi for 34years and he has always been my crush him and Kgomotso Mabena. Wilson is a very humbled man who appreciate life whichever way it comes to him, he accept that quickly. That makes him tick. Love you Bafana Nkosi”

“It’s been LONG overdue glad the MANAGEMENT came to their senses, I will never forget the day @robertmarawa gave him the recognition on his show…we need to celebrate legends when they are still alive.”

“Wow! Thank you so much to Metro fm for honouring u ubhuti Wilson B, Nkosi, what an honour! We thank you bra Wilson you are one of kind thank you for your immense contribution to music we love you.”
Metro FM management has been known to make some rather controversial decisions with regards to firing and hiring employees. DJ Fresh was dismissed from the station after his Msunery comment, Somizi was almost fired but narrowly escaped, Relebogile Mabotja was given an unexpected chop from the station, Loot Loves sudden departure from her show with DJ Speedsta was also very suspicious.

It’s promising that they honoured this legend before it was too late, may we have many more Sundays with Wilson B Nkosi on Metro FM.
