Today, (September 24, 2020), is Heritage Day in South Africa and the celebrities over there have taken to social media to celebrate their respective cultures. Our favourite Tswaleb, Connie Ferguson also took to social media to celebrate her Tswana culture.

“My fondest memories of my childhood involve one or other cultural activity! I loooved traditional dance.” She wrote, sharing a video of herself doing a traditional dance. “And today I thought I’d pay homage to the good old days with a tease! NB; I don’t take myself seriously! At all! Struu!”

The co-founder of The Fergusons Films and wife to Shona Ferguson thanked her close friends for helping put together her traditional outfit which only took a few hours to put together. “Thank you @ngizogp Ngahsto and Sis Sarah for my impromptu traditional dance outfit! The mogul, who turned fifty earlier this year, is popular for her role as Karabo Moroka on SABC 1’s popular television drama Generations which she joined in 1994. She left the drama after 16 years to focus on her production company with her hubby. She later returned to Generations: The Legacy for a short stint before leaving again.

The actress also had prominent roles in popular shows including Soul City, Maitemogelo and Cape of Good Hope. Connie has been a Judge on Miss South Africa, hosted the South African Film And Television Awards and has been involved in the production of Rockville as well as The Queen.

Connie and her equally talented husband, Shona, jointly known as The Fergusons, tied the knot in 2001. The couple met in South African and Shona often describes it as love at first sight.
