It is no doubt that Idols SA hasn’t been the same this year, due to the lockdown regulations a lot has had to be done differently. The show this year has had to adhere to the restriction of large gatherings but due to some easing of restrictions, only a certain number of people will be permitted. Idols SA has taken the decision to not allow a large number of audience members for their safety.

The selection of the top 16 by judges Unathi Nkayi, Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung and Randall Abrahams already kicked the show off last week, they went through the difficult task of selecting the top 16 contestants. Unfortunately, some favourites didn’t make it.Really grateful for the experience @IdolsSA. Thank y’all so much for the love, really overwhelming🥺
