She says: “I am so proud that the album is now out. For me it’s not about numbers and statistics and charts. It’s about the fact that I was able to focus and actually achieve my dream of having an album. So honestly, I’m already happy regardless of what happens. Nonetheless, I encourage everyone to join this journey and I hope they enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making this album.”

The album consists of 12 tracks that sees Cuppy go back to her roots to develop a sound she calls neo-African beats. The album features collaborations with Wyclef Jean, Julian Marley, Rema, Darkoo, Stonebwoy and Ms Banks and includes the hit single Jollof On The Jet that has already charted in 15 countries. The name Original Copy was picked by her fans after Cuppy ran a Twitter poll.
