TT Mbha’s journey to recovery after testing positive for Covid-19

TT MbhaLiving the Dream with Somizi star Thato “TT” Mbha has opened up about his journey to recovery after testing positive for Covid-19.

Last month the star took to Instagram to reveal that he had contracted the virus.

“I just thought I should share this message hopefully it’ll help someone out there. I’ve just tested positive for the coronavirus … I don’t know where I got it, it must’ve been at one of the meetings but I’m fine …” he wrote.

He also shared that he was going into self-isolation for the next 14 days.

TT recently came out of quarantine and took to social media to let fans know how he has been doing.

In his video, TT encouraged people to look after themselves. He also shared that he was doing good and was on day three of having no symptoms.

“I am doing quite good. I am on day three of having zero symptoms at all,” he said.“No coughing, no headaches and no diarrhoea.”

He shared that a week ago he experienced heavy nosebleeding but doesn’t know what caused it.

The reality star further stated that the virus was all about what you allow into your mind and that you shouldn’t allow it to consume your mind.

“The minute you always allow this thing to get into your mind. That is when you actually allow it to get into your body.”

He added that he experienced all the symptoms associated with the virus and there was a time he couldn’t even breathe. “There was a time when I couldn’t breathe, and I had to steam. I have done the usual, there is nothing that I haven’t done.

“But what I can tell you, is that a lot of people are overdosing on everything and anything.”

He said the video was to encourage anyone who has the virus, or who has been experiencing symptoms, that they shouldn’t allow Covid-19 to consume their minds.

“Do not allow this thing to consume your mind. Do not allow this thing to consume your mind,” he repeated.

TT said he has managed to document everything he experienced daily. And he will share it as he believes it could be a survival guard for others.

“We need to help each other as much as possible,” he said.

The businessman once again emphasised that people should be mindful of what they allow to consume their minds.

He also said he did allow the virus to get to him for two days where he found himself questioning God and it started affecting his body so he emphasised the need to keep positive.

“It affected my mind for a good two days, where I allowed it to consume me and it started affecting my body because I felt sorry for myself, I felt sorry for everything that is happening around me. I started questioning God and asking Him, ‘Why me?’”

He once again called on South Africans to take the virus seriously. “This thing is real,” he stated.

TT said this week he will be retesting if he can. He also reassured everyone that his family is fine as he has been isolating from them. He also promised to be sharing more of his journey.
