She has been dupped as The Queen of Africa. No doubt currently she is the best performing musician of our time. Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona is a celebrated South African musician best known as Makhadzi Muimbi.
Makhadzi was born in a small village called Ha-Mashamba Tshivhangani, just outside Elim in Limpopo province. After her parents separated, Ndivhudzannyi and her two siblings had to stay with their mother. She completed her grade 12 at Mukula Integrated School. Ndivhudzannyi obtained her qualification in Public Relations and she is currently studying drama.
Her career started at the age of 12, used to perform at Taxi ranks, getting money from people’s offerings. In 2019, Makhadzi was featured by Master KG on a song titled “Tshikwama”, released off the album Jerusalema.

Despite being just 25, the energetic supernova has been around the block for 10 years. It had, however, been a rollercoaster ride until her smash banger Matorokisi changed the game for her.
Makhadzi was rejected by TV and radio for the longest time – but people loved her. Being rejected by TV and radio never discouraged Makhadzi, whose stage name means “paternal aunt” in Venda and there’s a funny story that goes with it.
Many questions have been asked about Makhadzi educational background of late. Yes, Makhadzi attended Mukula Integrated School, where she finished her Grade 12. In a bid to become a successful and educated singer, she graduated with a Public Relations degree and proceeded to study Drama.
However, just like those before her, she has rags to riches story to tell. Before fame, the musician was a well-known street performer in Limpopo. Her career started back then in 2010 were she used to perform in the streets with a musical group named Makirikiri. Despite the group majoring in dancing, the African Queen then expanded the groups’ trade with singing.
Abused at a young age
Makhadzi revealed she was abused when she started in the music industry at an early age. Being a young girl, men who dominated the industry physically and emotionally abused her while she tried to get assistance to launch her career.
The Ghanama hitmaker’s management team comprised a couple, and she claims her manager’s husband raped her every weekend until she left.
