It’s been a month since Mpho Sebeng died, but his memory is still pretty fresh, as seen by the recent decision of Showmax to include him as part of a show dubbed 016FM.
Yeah, even in death, the actor will be a part of the show which also has the likes of Ba2cada, DJ Speedsta and Podcast and Chill’s Sol Phenduka in it.
The announcement of the show elicited mixed reactions from South Africans, with some condemning it and Showmax for exploring the late actor’s death for profit.
Some had no problem with him being a part of the show, however, feeling, as some of them do, that the show will keep the late actor’s memory alive and even earn his family some money.
Mpho Sebang died a month ago in a car accident that shook South Africa. It was as unexpected as can be imagined, and the industry mourned him. Some of his fans and colleagues used the period to recall the best times they had with him, as well as his contributions to the film industry in South Africa.
Well, with the current criticisms against Showmax, it will be interesting to see if the network will back down in the decision to have Sebeng as part of the show.
