Heartbreak for SA women as actor Thembinkosi Mthembu reveals his girlfriend of 7 years

Popular South African actor Thembinkosi Mthembu recently “broke” his female fans’ hearts when he announced his anniversary on social media.

The River star Thembinkosi Mthembu revealed in an Instagram Story on Sunday, 19 May that he’s been in a relationship with his partner for over seven years.


 

 

 

“Happy anniversary my love,” wrote th actor.Mthembu also reveals at on some fine print that he and his partner are celebrating their seventh-year anniversary.His fans took to X on Monday to reveal that they are “devastated” over the news as they’d hoped they had a chance with him.“Not Thembinkosi Mthembu posting his girlfriend. Aybo Mvelase what about me?” asked @MazikodeThah.

YouthVillage reports that Thembinkosi Mthembu who prefers to keep his personal life private is reportedly dating Sibulele Ndaba. The pair reportedly have a five-year-old daughter together.

The award-winning actor revealed in a 2023 interview with TshisaLIVE that his character, Bonga went on dates in Fourways, Johannesburg, with his Adulting love interest, Londeka Sishi, who plays Nkanyezi to build chemistry.

“For me and her to build chemistry, we had to go on dates because it would read on camera. My partner knew about the dates but doesn’t watch my intimacy scenes, she’s okay because we started dating when I was doing my third year at DUT, so she knew me from university.”

He adds that the devotion to his work sometimes catches up with him, however. He took a three-month break from acting in 2023 and attended therapy to debrief from the characters he portrayed.
