Kagiso Modupe on how he became a millionaire

Kagiso Modupe is a South African actor and producer. He is best known for his roles in the popular serials Losing Lerato, Gog’s Helen, and Unpredictable Romance.Kagiso Modupe made headlines in 2005 when he was introduced to South African TV screens, playing the role of Mangaliso Nyathi. Kagiso Modupe let the cat out of the bag when he made it known that he had become a millionaire thanks to his private part. In the mix of things, Mzansi has been trying to connect the dots on what he meant.

“It’s funny… I used my private parts to become a millionaire,” he revealed to podcaster Kagiso Moahlodi.

With a massive following on social media, the actor has it that he rolled out social media campaigns that saw him earn R1 for every man who gets circumcised. Against the backdrop of this campaign, he went on to cash in a whopping R1.1 million. Of interest is that he managed to circumcise 1.1 million South African men in just one day.He then explained that he has been married to his wife for 12 years and he was not circumcised. Kagiso realised that since he is not circumcised he is able to educate and encourage other men to get circumcised. So, he approached Brothers For Life and Right to Care to start a public circumcision campaign. This was to encourage men to get circumcised with him on the same day.

He also created a social media advert where he received R1 for every man that gets circumcised. The producer successfully persuading 1.1 million South African men to get circumcised. So, that was how he made his first million.Kagiso is best known for his role as Mangi Nyathi in e.tv’s Scandal! He also starred in other soapies such as Jiva!, Ambitions, Harvest, and more.The former Scandal! star is married to Liza Lopes. She is a film producer.Liza and Kagiso have two daughters together.

The actor starred alongside his daughter Tshimollo Modupe in his feature film Losing Lerato which was released in 2019. According to IOL, Losing Lerato became the first independent film to gross over R4.1 million in five weeks.
