Getting to know rising star Jessica Sithole

A rising star in South Africa, Jessica Sithole is best known for playing Nolo in the television series Gomora.She made her debut on TV screens as Nyakallo, the helper everyone loved to hate on 1Magic’s The River The black beauty is starting to emerge as a formidable presence as she keeps playing her part so perfectly.

Her knack for acting emerged in Grade 10, and she enrolled at the University of Free State to study for a Drama, Theatre Arts and Media Degree. All this is in a bid to perfect her craft, and she is living up to her expectations.


 

 

 

With her beauty and flair, she bagged the title of Miss Glamorous Free State in 2017. This sees her landing a gig as a brand ambassador for hair care brands Ruutos and Mud Studio Bloemfontein, a make-up services company.“A lot of people have contributed to this huge milestone; my parents,

About her future, Sithole says she would love to continue playing different characters and make a name for herself internationally as well.”I’m hungry to learn more, learn different mannerisms, different behaviours. I want to be able to portray different characters,” she says.

I want to find myself able to represent both at home and on an international level. I always want to grow, find another level, and reach another level.The rising star is grateful to her parents, Mpho and Themba Sithole, religious leader Apostle David Ponyane and her mentor for being there for her. To her followers and supporters, who would love to follow in her footsteps, Sithole advises them to go to school.

“There are other people in the industry that didn’t go to school for acting, and they are making it. However, for me, school really was a good foundation. I studied Drama and Theatre Arts.”
