Where is Wallet from Skeem Saam?

Fans of outstanding actor Molefi Monaisa, who played Wallet on Skeem Saam, have questioned if he will return. His most recent appearance was in a spelling bee competition episode on the SABC1 soap operapera in December 2021.

Molefi Monaisa, a 49-year-old actor, told Drum in May 2021 that playing Wallet in Skeem Saam was one of the highlights of his career.Wallet, a fan favorite, recites poetry on the hills of Turfloop, enjoys drinking tea, carries a briefcase everywhere, and has an impeccable British accent.

 

Monaisa says his character was as a writer, actor and director in his past life, who’s been all over the world and spent about eight or nine years in England and was a a native there in his mind.

“Even though he is well read and well-travelled, he squandered it all and had to return home to Turfloop. It is sad that there are people like him who end up sitting in townships with fancy degrees, but they drank themselves into poverty”.“I remember when reading the script for the first time, I was like, Ah, I know this guy. I know many of them. It is sad that people go through such hardship to end up like Wallet. A lot of the time, their egos get the better of them, and they do not listen to sound advice when they are squandering their wealth.”The actor Molefi Monaisa stated to Move in 2017 that he enjoys playing Wallet and has no intention of leaving Skeem Saam anytime soon, even if it’s uncertain what he would be doing in 2024.

Additionally, he stated that he will always love theater and that he will continue to perform in plays: “My favorite thing to do is theater.” I have a play called Madam President coming up. In August 2021, Sowetan revealed that Monaisa had another appearance in a play titled Nongogo.
