Pabi Moloi ex-husband demands R1 million

Popular South African media personality, Power FM presenter Pabi Moloi, and Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, are reportedly being sued for R1 million. Sunday World reports that Moloi’s estranged husband, Ruan Adams, is accusing her and Cele of wrongfully arresting him in March this year.

According to the publication, the arrest occurred after Adams allegedly violated a protection order Moloi had obtained against him.The lawsuit reveals that the Power Life host identified Adams as a perpetrator after a crime was committed. On the same day, he was arrested and detained for six hours. However, Adams denies ever violating the protection order against him.

In the court papers, Adams reportedly revealed that his estranged wife – whom he paid lobolo for in 2016 – is one of the richest female media personalities in South Africa, adding that she owns six upmarket properties located in Fourways, Noordwyk, Elton Hill, Edenburg and two in Waverly.

He also claimed to have suffered physical, mental, and emotional stress due to the wrongful arrest. Adams also said he suffered post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and public humiliation.
The former couple have had a messy “divorce”. Earlier last year, Moloi denied that she was ever legally married Adams. This came after Adams tried to secure 50% of her state, as he claimed they were married in community of property.

Adams claimed he was entitled to Moloi’s savings, investments, pension funds, vehicles, household items and shares.

He also allegedly accused her of denying him access to their son and further accused her of using drugs, to which she denied the claims.
