A Cape Town woman who accidentally hit Rachel Kolisi on the head with a rugby ball during the Springboks trophy tour last week has apologised.
In a video that went completely viral, Eva Henry was seen trying to get captain Siya to autograph her ball. But the plan went left after the ball hit his wife in the head.
Now, the UCT student is responding to the backlash in a TikTok video.
CPT STUDENT REACTS TO RACHEL KOLISI ACCIDENT BACKLASH
Although both Siya and Rachel Kolisi both laughed off the viral video – which was posted on the Instagram account of Rugby Pass – that hasn’t stopped the public from coming for the young woman who delivered the ill-fated blow.
According to Henry, she has been harassed on social media over the incident, which she claims was merely an accident.
She said in a TikTok video: “I’ve been getting hate for it. But it wasn’t on purpose.
“Rachel Kolisi and Siya Kolisi, I sincerely apologise for hitting the first lady on the head with a rugby ball.
“I went a bit MIA because I was scared of the repercussions.”
Responding to the critics, Henry added: “Just relax!”

A SECRET MESSAGE FOR SIYA?
According to the young redhead, the ball – meant for Siya Kolisi – had a letter attached to the ball.
However, Henry stopped short of revealing who it was for or its contents. However, she promised the scoop “if this video blows up.”
