MAPIMPI RETURNS TO SOCIAL MEDIA
On Wednesday, 11 October, Makazole Mapimpi returned to Instagram after almost two weeks of silence.
On his Instagram Stories, the 33-year-old athlete posted a picture of him at the beach with the waves crashing down against the sand.
It’s unclear of the location of the peaceful setting.According to SA Rugby’s Rassie Erasmus, Mapimpi sustained a severe facial injury after a head-on collision with a Tonga rugby player, which forced him to leave the field.
After being consulted by a medical doctor, the extent of his injury was determined: a fractured cheekbone and eye socket. The recovery time frame was between 4 – 6 weeks.
