Disgraced celebrity doctor Nandipha Magudumana is still making headlines for her romantic and criminal link to notorious
This comes after, GroundUp lifted the lid on the Thabo Bester prison break scandal last month, revealing that the serial rapist had not died in a fire on 3 May 2022 at the Mangaung Correctional Centre like it had been initially reported.Bester, who was sentenced in November 2012, was serving a life sentence forat the maximum security prison operated by G4S when a fire broke out in his cell.
His modus operandi was to lure young women, rape and rob them, under the guise of lucrative modelling jobs. One of his victims, Nomfundo Tyhulu, a car saleswoman who sold him a BMW in 2011 in Sandton, and who later dated him, lost her life after he stabbed her to death in Cape Town at a bed and breakfast.Upon investigation, it emerged that he had been dating Dr Nandipha whilst behind bars and she had assisted him in his elaborate escape last year. The couple was also reported to have been running a scam construction company called “Arum Properties”. They would convince several people to pay millions of rands for construction projects, but never delivered the goods to them.Bester and Dr Nandipha — who had been on the run after vacating their upmarket mansion in Hyde Park, Johannesburg — were arrested in Tanzania on 7 April. They were deported to South Africa six days later.
Bester is currently detained at Kgosi Mampuru II C-max prison in Pretoria and his case was postponed to 16 May. Meanwhile, Dr Nandipha is remanded in custody until 4 May after she was denied bail on Monday, 17 April.1. THEY GOT MARRIED IN 2013
Dr Nandipha’s ex-husband is Mkhuseli Oscar Magudumana aka Mac. The couple had their glitzy wedding in 2013. Although they are no longer together, she still uses his surname as her maiden name is Sekeleni.
GroundUp reported that the couple entered into a civil marriage and they are still registered as such on the Home Affairs database.

However, their friend and journalist Redi Tlhabi revealed in a tweet on 11 April that they divorced in 2022.
