Making the squad after all? Handre Pollard’s wife jets off to London

While it’s anyone’s guess if Springboks player Handre Pollard will ultimately play in the Rugby World Cup, his wife Marise has hinted that he may stick around for a while longer.

This, after she revealed that she was “London-bound” ahead of the national team’s match against the All Blacks on Friday, 25 August.

Despite keeping a low profile on her Instagram account, Handre Pollard’s wife, Marise, shared a post revealing her departure.

“London bound”, she posted. The post was liked by multiple Springboks WAGS, including Rachel Kolisi, Holly Clare Nichol, and Juanri Mostert.

Interestingly, the Springboks will play against the All Blacks at the Twickenham Stadium in London, England.

Could she be just a supporter, or is this a sign that Handre Pollard may just stick around a while longer?

WILL HE OR WON’T HE PLAY AT RWC?
Meanwhile, it is unclear – for now – if Handre Pollard will travel with the Springboks squad to France ahead of the Rugby World Cup next month.

While “fully fit,” according to coach Jacques Nienaber – the 29-year-old has not officially made the squad, reportedly over an injury rehabilitation.

According to Supersport, Handre is raring to go if he gets the chance. But that will depend on if a spot becomes available over a player injury, he says.

Nienaber told the channel: “Handre is on the edge now of being fully fit; he just needs a lot of fitness work, and he will be ready.
