Down bad: Dr Malinga latest TikTok tactics concerns SA

A new trend, which was seemingly started by an American TikToker called Pinkydoll, sees people doing livestream videos of themselves making strange sounds and behaving like a video game NPC, or non-playable character. In return, those tuned in to the live send virtual gifts (i.e. monetary tokens) to the streamers. A few weeks earlier, SA musician Dr Malinga has joined in.

A short clip of the singer behaving like a NPC has been shared on Twitter and garnered hilarious reactions from locals who commended his hustling spirit. And now it looks like he is taking things up a notch after wearing a wig and dress.
