Letoya Makhene-Pulumo breaks her silence over allegations that she was beaten up by wife

Well known actress Letoya Makhene-Pulumo trended on Sunday on Sunday after a well known tabloid stated that she had been abused by her partner Lebogang Pulumo-Makhene.

The paper alleges that Letoya had to seek the services of two police officers in order to get her belongings at their matrimonial home.

The two women have been married for over a year but there seems to be trouble in paradise and the media has speculated that they could be bound for divorce.

Letoya is well known for her role as the vivacious Tshidi in Generations: The Legacy.

Letoya posted something on her Instagram handle stating that all was well between them and the paper went out of line.

“What happened to investigate a story? So basically, I can make up a lie about someone whose life I want to destroy, and some journalist will happily write about it. Just because it’s possibly going to sell papers that we have to admit no one is interested in buying anymore,” she says.

This is not the first time that Letoya and Lebogang have found themselves in the media spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

In her Instagram statement, Letoya divulged that she and her wife work with women who have gone through abuse. That alone is a plain narrative which she adheres to.

She went on to state that journalism was about investigating and the writer of the story did not take time to enquire about the alleged abuse.

She added that she has found a deep sense of peace in her life and will not allow anyone to take that away from her.

She added that she is currently working on an international project.
