Maphorisa, real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, has also removed his legal team, apparently after it concurred with the diversion programme proposition, which involves anger management, among others.

Maphorisa cake under the limelight after Phongolo opened an assault case against him and the media was quick to slam him.

The startling details were revealed by a source who is close to both Maphorisa and Phongolo. Maphorisa was arrested in May and charged with assault after the 29-yearold sultry TV personality alleged that he assaulted her.

Even though Phongolo later dropped the case, the NPA pursued it because of the high rates of gender based violence in the country.

Relating her ordeal, the purring sex kitten told the police that she had a squabble with the Ba Straata hitmaker after confronting him about an argument the previous night.

This led to a physical confrontation and Phongolo went straight to Sandton police station were she opened a case against him.

The thespian said the acclaimed music producer responded aggressively and started slapping her on her porcelain face.

The media understands that Maphorisa is adamant that there is no case against him and he wants to clear his name.

Phongolo, who once starred in Generations: The Legacy as Namhla Diale, said Maphorisa held her, took her to the balcony, and grabbed her aggressively by the neck.
