RIP: PRETTY YENDE MOURS HER MOTHER AND PULLS OUT GIG
It’s been a rather eventful year for opera singer Pretty Yende. Earlier this year, she made history when she became the first African singer to grace the stage in a solo performance at the King’s coronation which was held at Westminster Abbey, EWN reported. She also found herself in the hospital after sustaining an injury on stage which forced her to cancel her next gig, TimesLIVE reported.

She was also spotted in Paris rubbing shoulders with South African fashion designer David Tlale, and clothing brand owner Thebe Magugu as they were under one roof engaging with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Yende has now pulled out of another gig following her mother’s death. The gifted singer shared that she and her family were still grieving their loss. Yende asked to be pardoned during this time.

“My sweet mommy passed away a few days ago. Our entire family and my town are in mourning, she touched so many lives with the magnitude and kindness of her heart and smile, which could light up everything and everyone around,” she said.

The beautiful opera singer said that although her mother had died, she will always remain in her and her family’s hearts.
