During an interview he had with Tshisa Live, Tony Forbes, the father of slain rapper AKA – real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes has recently opened up and given his son’s fans an update regarding the status of the late rapper’s murder investigation.AKA died alongside his friend, celebrity Chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane in Durban, Florida road on 10 February. The long-term friends were shot and after embracing each other outside Wish restaurant which has also permanently closed down since the incident.
After a leaked CCTV footage that recorded moments leading up to the rapper’s murder, his fans have been verbal about who they believed was behind the cold-blooded murder. The Forbes family has since released a statement urging AKA’s fans aka The Megacy to stand down and let the law take its course.
“We are at a loss for words to describe our gratitude for the outpouring of love that we received from the Megacy. We’ve seen people deeply hurt by Kiernan’s murder and wanting justice. As a family, we emphasise the grief experienced and we understand your pain,” the statement read.
“At this time, we call on the Megacy to mourn responsibly and ask for patience so that the law enforcers have the space to do their job,” the statement added.
