AKA smiling in heaven as his mother, Lynn Forbes’ latest move impresses Mzansi

Mother of late South African rapper AKA, Lynn Forbes has launched a new podcast called the Outspoken Owls. the podcast aims to reframe what it means to navigate life as a middle-aged woman. The Outspoken Owls podcast will be hosted by Lynn and Katie Mohamed and will see both hosts have open and honest conversations. It is also said that discussions between the two women are to be based on personal experiences and journeys.

“We are thrilled to launch Outspoken Owls and look forward to sharing insights and experiences via storytelling to our audience”, Katie shares. The unapologetic, opinionated, entertaining, enlightening and engaging podcast is reportedly not explicitly about women but are dedicated to women’s issues. Women will relate to the podcast — but many men will learn from it. And I think both those audiences are important”, Katie reiterated.

Lynn on the other hand, has noted that she hopes that the podcast would ignite dialogue between the listeners and the hosts.

“We have stories to share that I feel will inspire our audience, but we also want to learn from our audience, whether they relate to our shared experiences”, Lynn shares.
In February of this year Lynn Forbes lost her son AKA. The rapper was murdered along with his friend, celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, in Durban on 10 February 2023.

In a recent post shared to her Instagram, Lynn notes how she will continuously honour and preserve her son’s memory and legacy.

“This world was not enough for you. You fulfilled your purpose and left your mark. There is nothing left for me to do but preserve your legacy, the masterpiece that you have already built. It’s a complete work of art and it will live on forever in its own right, without me. I will honour you and preserve your memory, to the best of my ability, for the rest of my life”, she shared.
