Netflix attempted to dethrone ‘Shaka iLembe,’ but failed miserably. The streaming service criticized the Mzansi Magic series, claiming Henry Cele was the best cast actor to ever play Shaka Zulu.

 

Mzansi was left sobbing, and one tweep commented, “Heban, why now?”. Following their blockbuster launch on Sunday, 18 June, Netflix SA has slammed Mzansi Magic’s Shaka iLembe.

According to the global streaming platform, Henry Cele, who played Shaka Zulu in the 1986 mini-series Shaka Zulu, was the best choice for the role.

Lemogang Matsipa plays Shaka Zulu on Shaka iLembe, although the show garnered criticism for casting a non-Zulu-speaking actor.

Mzansi remained riveted to their televisions when Shaka iLembe made his debut on Mzansi Magic. People should just accept when things do not go their way rather than to continuously disagree on baseless points.

Both these two actors are good and have done extremely well and as such they should be honoured.
