DJ Sumbody’s girlfriend speaks out following eviction reports

businessman DJ Sumbody’s girlfriend, Tlotlisang Moloi has hit back at critics after it emerged that they were in a 13-year-long relationship. This was disclosed in a local publication article last week which reported that, after the funeral, the Ayepyep Lifestyle co-owner’s family kicked her out of the upmarket Copperleaf Golf Estate in Centurion which she shared with him for six years.

DJ Sumbody, real name Oupa John Sefoka, was gunned down along with one of his bodyguards in a hail of bullets in Woodmead, Johannesburg, while on their way to a gig on 20 November last year – the case is still under investigation.

According to a source who spoke to the publication, the family sited doing a cleansing in the house as part of the reason she needed to vacate it. However, almost six months later, Moloi is reportedly still not allowed to move back in.

As a result, Moloi is allegedly taking legal action again the Sefoka family and she is claiming a share of DJ Sumbody’s estate.

At the time, the Suk’Emabhozeni hitmaker’s younger brother – Koketso Sefoka – said that he would not entertain “rumours” saying they had meetings with Moloi and her family and they understand the mourning process.

On Saturday, 10 June, Moloi took to her Instagram Live to address the reports.

She said that she was doing well and she was taken care off. Moloi debunked rumours she was down and out, saying, “I’d never struggle. I have a well-off home and parents who are employed.”

Moloi also hit back at the hater who judged her for dating DJ Sumbody for 13 years.

“Since you badly want to classify him as my boyfriend, some of your boyfriends don’t buy you anything. Some of you don’t even leave your relationships with your wigs.

“I’m so blessed to have been given a car and a house. I work also… I work, also. I’ve got a job. But, I need you guys to stop running with the narrative that she was left with nothing. There is no way in hell.”
