Condolences are pouring in after the death of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner.

The queen, who was 83 years old, died at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, after a long illness. The news of her death was confirmed on Wednesday night by Peter Lindbergh, who wrote a message on Tina Turner’s social media page. Tina was respected all over the world for her strong voice and dancing skills. She came to prominence in the 1960s with her ex-husband Ike Turner, releasing hits such as Proud Mary, River Deep, Mountain High

They split in 1978, after media reports claimed Ike had a soft spot for the crowd favorite. Their separation did not affect Tina’s career, she continued to work hard and produced hit songs for years. Even today, songs like The Best are still popular. Tina won eight Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 as a solo artist because she previously entered in 1991 for her work with Ike.
