Two Reasons Why Chicco Rushed To The Hospital Where Senzo Was Certified Dead

South African soccer fans are keeping close tabs to the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial which is being heard at the North Gauteng High court in Pretoria with Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela presiding over the case, five men are being tried for the murder of the former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper and captain who was shot and killed in Vosloorus on the 26th of October 2014, he was visiting his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo at her mother’s house with his two friends Tumelo Madlala and Mthokozisi Thwala when the unfortunate incident happened.

It is alleged that two intruders barged into the Khumalo house and started demanding cellphones and money, a scuffle ensued with the people who were in the house and the suspects, unfortunately Meyiwa was gunned down and he was certified dead upon his arrival at the Botshelong Hospital.

Zandi Khumalo who was also at the house when everything happened has taken to the stand to share what she saw on that night and at some point she mentioned that Chicco Sello Thwala who is the father to Longwe Thwala who was also at the house during the shooting arrived at the hospital shortly after Meyiwa was certified dead, one would wonder what his business was at that place, but why did he quickly rushed there?

One of those who testified before Zandi mentioned that Longwe did not greet people who were in the house upon his arrival, he seem to have issues with his girlfriend Zandi, then the alleged robbery took place, something suggests that he was fighting with his girlfriend and when he produce a gun, Senzo jumped in trying to stop the fight and he unintentionally fatally shot the soccer star, that was his first mistake.

Realizing that things have gotten out of hand, he noticed that he may have killed someone, he called his father and told him about what happened at the Khumalo house, he also told him that Meyiwa was rushed to the hospital and that was when Chicco decided to drop whatever it is that he was doing and rushed to the hospital to check on the KwaZulu-Natal born shot-stopper.

“After a while, Mr Chicco Twala arrived. He was then informed that Senzo was no more. He leaned against a wall next to him and slid down until he sat,” Zandi said.

If you were to read between the lines, you would pick up that perhaps Chicco was praying while on his way to the hospital, he was hoping that Meyiwa does not die so that his son does not get charged with murder, this is the only reason why he reacted the way he did when he was told that Senzo is dead.
