Buthelezi is one of the senior royal members of the Zulu kingdom. He plays a pivotal role in advising the king and also overseeing other important issues concerning the welfare of the royal household.

Amid the speculations that made waves, and led some to question certain things, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has come out to refute the allegations. It was however, revealed that in the coming week, the prime minister of the Zulu royal kingdom will call a meeting.

This meeting is going to be attended by chiefs. It is not clear at this point what will be on the agenda of this meeting called by Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

Social critics argued that there is no smoke without fire, and speculate that there is really something happening within the Zulu royal household. Some are of the opinion that maybe King Misuzulu KaZwelithini should have appointed his own prime minister now that he is on the throne.

“The king should have appointed his traditional prime minister a long time ago because Mangosuthu Buthelezi gave him his blessing to do so.

A fallout with him is not in the best interest of king Misuzulu KaZwelithini. The prime minister himself is an institution in the Zulu traditional leadership,” said a social critic.

Even though Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has dismissed claims of him having unresolved issues with King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, critics said even good dancers know when to leave the stage. They said the prince should not force himself if he feels he is no longer desired.

Sources close to the Zulu traditional prime minister said he will continue to serve the king for as long as King Misuzulu KaZwelithini still requires him.
