DStv has announced the cancelation of The Queen and also Lingashoni. The queen is said to premiere their last show on the 13th January 2023. The Ferguson films will start shooting their season 7 in July 2022. But it is expected to end in January 2023.

The strategies of channel 161 have been revised to keep up with the times, by changing audience preferences and also evolve. There is a new show that will take The Queens place and will be announced in due course.

The viewers are however happy that the show is finally ending so that they won’t have to miss out on anything. Unfortunately you cannot just terminate a contract just like that. There should be rules and procedures that should be followed in order to terminate a world loved show. Right. The Queen has been part of Mzansi magic for a while now. Cancelation of the show with immediate effect would be totally unethical.
