Here are the best child actors on South African TV today

7de Laan: Karmen Meintjies played by Gabriella Linton

Linton was both fascinatingly realistic, incredibly emotional, sorrowful, and amusing when she needed to be as Karmen. Linton Meintjies, the daughter of Vannesa and Vince Meintjies, established that she was born to act when she performed as a 4- to 6-year-old youngster.

Linton is a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment world, having gone through many difficulties such as being kidnapped and returning after the trauma, being erroneously abused, and losing a brother and a parent on the show.

Rythmn City: Lefa played by Tshiamo Molobi

Tshiamo Molobi has been dubbed the “young-great-Jerry Mofokeng” by critics. The actor portrays Lefa, an emotionally unstable, high-IQ adolescent who is raised by his uncle, Kop Khuse, due to abandonment and daddy issues.

He also played Tshepo on The Queen, and he was fantastic in the role.

Scandal: Tebello played by Lithonolofatso Lithlakanaye

Scandal had not cast a kid actor in a long time, and when Tebello joined the show, he won many South Africans’ hearts with his performance, fluency in Sesotho, and genuineness. It seems unfathomable that anybody could turn down this amazing actor, yet after repeated callbacks, he received his big break and landed the lead role on ETV’s most viewed soap opera, Scandal.

The actor first made an appearance in a small town alongside Kgomotso Christopher, a SAFTA award winner who played Maleeto/Yvonne and has been a hit ever since.

DEATH is very dominating this year and this month of July started on a very bad note with so many deaths taking place to the point that it is extremely difficult to comprehend with the situation of losing your loved one.

It is never easy to accept the passing of your loved one, no matter how hard you try but tears always roll on your face when you think of all the memories and time spent together, recalling all the happy moments you shared and then remembering that it will no longer happen again as the person is no more.

That is unfortunately what many people are going through now and it is very sad, we can’t even imagine the pain and sorrow they are in.

It is now the similar case with Former Generations actor, Thapelo Mokoena, who is in mourning after he lost the very important person in his life. Taking to social media, Mokoena posted an image of himself and his grandmother and paid the tribute to her with a lovely message:

He went on to add and defined the pillar of strength his grandmother was to him and how she raised him. Thapelo went on to say how grateful he is for her and all her contribution to his life, he will now ensure her legacy lives on for generations to come and that he will make sure that they know and hear about how wonderful she has been.

“We are who we are today because of Carol Fikile Msimango. You live to see, touched and pray over your great grandchildren. Thank you for the life lessons MaKhumalo. Thank you for our conversations on Saturday, I won’t forget a thing. I’ll archive your recordings, voicenotes, videos and messages for future generations.
