The wife of a Methodist Church of Southern Africa reverend has torn the silence barrier by detailing how the church sidelined her husband.

She alleged that the church threw her husband under the bridge when he was at his lowest.

 

Venting out her frustrations on social networking site Facebook, the wife did not hesitate the let the flies loose.

Reverend Zole Mlombi’s wife, Nandipha Mlombi, 35, saying her husband was informed in mid-September that he was not being stationed for 2023 and that he would be losing all benefits, including his home, salary and medical aid.

This led to the family suffering as they are now homeless after not having been given enough time to plan ahead.

She stated that Zole had been a reverend at the church’s Bedfordview branch for the past five years.

Rumours that Rev Mlombi would be leaving the church began out of nowhere, being followed by a burglary at his home that took a toll on the reverend’s health, leading to his hospitalisation and eventually being diagnosed with high blood pressure.

The post drew mixed reactions from the general public.

This has questioned the welfare of the reverends after they are removed from their posts.
