MRS UNIVERSE South Africa semi-finalist, Kelebogile Tshesebe, is excited about the progress she has made in life.

The 35-year-old author, podcast host and entrepreneur, who is originally from Bloemfomtein in Free State, said she started to enter beauty pageants in church and at school at the age of eight.

“Being in a pageant is not easy as you have to put in a lot of work, raise money for charities, get votes and sponsorships and always look good. You also have to be a gender-based violence activist,” she said.

Kelebogile, who is based in Centurion, Tshwane, said pageants are not about beauty, but are about change, the impact you have in the community as well as have confidence and dedication.

She described herself as a passionate and hard-working woman who believes in herself and in her abilities.

“I’m not afraid to take on challenges. I’m a go-getter and believe in making a positive impact in people’s lives,” she said.

The mother of two said when balancing modelling and writing a book, writing a book comes with inspiration, while pageants work according to a calendar”I love both of my gifts because they take out different sides of me. As a writer, I’m in touch with my creative side and I understand myself better from different angles,” said Kelebogile.

In 2021, she published the book, Had I Known, which tackles issues of gender-based violence.

It’s uncertain when exactly Jones’ birthday party was, however in an Instagram post shared by the former YOTV presenter, the birthday boy can be seen surrounded by his closest friends and family members at his birthday party and his estranged wife/ baby mama was nowhere in sight.“Beautiful day with beautiful people celebrating a good friend Quinton Jones aka the American Footballer lol!!! Was good seeing your friendly faces,” Psyfo captioned.A few days later, her and Jones’ dirty laundry was aired by ZiMoja who reported that the couple were allegedly in a custody battle for their son, Netha Makhosini Jones. Did you know Uzalo’s Fikile and House Of Zwide’s Zanele are sisters?

No doubt House of Zwide has the plug and it has managed to wow Mzansi after replacing etv’s hit soapie Rhythm City.

After all who doesn’t love House of Zwide though. The drama series has a seasoned cast that is complimented by Mzansi’s fast-rising actors.

Amongst Mzansi’s finest is Zanele Zwide, played by Londeka Mchunu. We can all agree that she has the bling and her talent is unmatched. She is that character we all love to hate. But it’s surprising that many didn’t know that Uzalo’s Fikile and Zanele in House Of Zwide are sisters in real life.

Londeka Mchunu

Londeka is best known for her on-screen character on Isithembiso. The bubbly actress played Snegugu. Despite having no acting experience or interest her role thrust her into the limelight. However, it only managed to grace Mzansi’s screens for three seasons before it was axed. The drama series was aired on Mzansi Magic.

However, she seems to be doing well of late. Guess she is now passionate about acting as she is killing her role on House of Zwide. On House of Zwide, she plays the daughter of Faith (Winnie Ntshaba) and Funani (Vusi Kunene) on the e.tv.

Nelisa has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. We can all agree that Uzalo’s is one of the most followed drama series and being on its cast comes with fame. Well, she made her first debut on the small screen when she starred on the now axed SABC3 drama series Isidingo.

Just like those before she started acting when at a very young age. A few years later she opted to study Dramatic Arts in High School. However, she later graduated from WITS University. She holds a BA in Media Studies.

“When I joined Uzalo in 2016 my family was quite excited. When Londeka joined Isithembiso a year later it became a very big thing for our family,” she says proudly. It feels good to have someone who understands you and with whom you can share challenges you face.”

They are lucky to be working in the same industry but doing their own thing. No one has compared her to her sister yet. “That would have been very frustrating,” she says.

Former Rhythm actress Petronella Tshuma has opened up about being a single mother of two. So emotional and touching.

The actress, who recently broke up with the father of her second child about a year ago, took to Instagram to share her experience of raising two young boys alone.

“Nearly a year ago Camagu’s dad and I split up. Was that ever the plan? Of course not. So here I am a mother to two beautiful boys with different fathers. Who would ever want to be with me again? Am I used goods. I must have been the problem, right? My lobola price will probably cost pocket change,” she said.

The actress, who plays Pearl on Rhythm City, said she had breakdowns at work after the break-up.“I could not act. Lines would not stick. But here I am, a single mum with two kids that I need to provide for. Rhythm City, my amazing family were understanding. Gave me time and the greatest support. Offered and would pay for therapy. I did not go because I then got the news that the show was being cancelled. I remember saying to my cast members ‘how will I look after my children?’

My children are the only people on this earth that have witnessed all my colours. The good and the bad. The beautiful and the ugly. And yet, for some reason I am the world and more to them,”

But above all, Petronella said being a mother is the best gift she has ever been blessed with and with such comes great responsibility. The actress, who got her big break 10 years ago when she auditioned for Class Act in front of Rapulana Seiphemo, James Ngcobo and Moonyeenn Lee, went down memory lane and recalled a moment when she was asked what else she is good at besides acting and she responded and said: “All Im good at, is being a mum. And during it all, I’m continuously finding myself. That beautiful little girl I did not know existed. I filled everyone else’s cups including the characters I would play and have nothing left to give myself. Self-work is not for the fainted-hearted. It is gritty but rewarding.

“In high school, I was not as cool and the most spoken about and liked by girls as Paxton is. But with Paxton, he does that so effortlessly, which kind of makes me relive my high school experience in a very cool way.

“Everyone loved me in high school. I was one of the top students as well, which amplified the confidence I have in my intellect.”

Molokomme advised the class of 2022 to make friends with people smarter than them as he believes that will motivate individuals to perform better.

Zizo Sobhutyu plays the role of Mosebjadi and is a grade 11 pupil.

“I remember having cold feet about my first day in high school as I wasn’t sure if I was going to fit in or if I will get friends, but my day was the complete opposite of my imagination,” Sobhutyu said.
