A TV viewership report for March 2021 by the Broadcast Research Council of A (BRC) has revealed broadcast veteran Noxolo Grootboom’s last news bulletin drew in a whopping 3.8 million viewers.

It is a great news as the star worked for SABC for close to four decades and her retirement brought sadness to a lot of her viewers.

While she hoped for a quiet exit, Noxolo got the exact opposite of her wish.

Mzansi made the veteran trend for days as they honoured her and celebrated her legacy.

Television Audience Measurement Service (TAMS) report stated 3,832,686 people tuned in to hear Noxolo say “Ndi nithanda nonke emakhaya” one last time.

The impressive number constituted a third of all TV views during that time slot on the day.

Major League DJz have shunned a fan’s suggestion of taking over Lockdown House Party, which holds virtually on Fridays and Saturdays.

The DJz are hosts of Balcony Mixes which premieres on YouTube every Friday, and it’s something most South Africans anticipate to watch, as it’s fun, and the mixes are hot.

Taking to Twitter, fans said: “I definitely think the balcony mix by the Major league should replace the Lockdown house party. Everything about it is just a vibe, from the setup to the people aibo to the dj.”

In response, the duo said they’re in no room to compete with anybody.

Police speak on Nelli Tembe’s mysterious death at Cape Town hotel

The incident happened in the city center just before 8 am on Sunday morning. The details surrounding her death remain sketchy at this stage.

The Police’s Frederick Van Wyk said, “Crime scene experts are still on the scene combing the area for clues and Cape Town Central police are investigating an inquest case after an incident at a hotel this morning on the corners of Loop and Bloem Street, Cape Town CBD where the body of a 22-year-old woman was found deceased.”

Anyone with information on the matter is urged to contact Cape Town Central police station.
