Former Mayor of the City of Johannesburg and leader of ActionSA Herman Mashaba was among many leaders who descended on the Joburg CBD to support families of victims of the fire.

Last night, Wednesday, 30 August, an abandoned building crammed with hundreds of people, claimed the lives of 73 occupants, including children when the building caught alight.

 

ACTIONSA LEADER HERMAN MASHABA SHARES HIS VIEWS
Engaging the media at the scene of the devastating tragedy, former Mayor Herman Mashaba, alluded that this tragedy could have been avoided if the hijacking of buildings agenda had been taken seriously.

“During my tenure as Mayor of the City of Johannesburg between 2016 to 2019, I fought against the hijacking of buildings and repeatedly warned of the possible dangers they pose. However, my administration’s efforts to crack down on hijacked and dilapidated buildings in the Johannesburg Inner-city were sidetracked by Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and the ANC government,” he said

“We extend our sincere condolences to the victims and their families.”
In a statement, Funzi Ngobeni, ActionSA Gauteng Provincial Chairperson, emphasised Mashaba’s efforts during his tenure as mayor.

“ActionSA has long highlighted the dangers hijacked buildings hold for Johannesburg residents, with Herman Mashaba as Johannesburg Executive Mayor spearheading a project to reclaim these buildings to provide affordable housing,” he said.
“We urge the Gauteng Province and the City of Johannesburg to provide urgent emergency services to the affected community, including providing alternative accommodation and establishing a mobile clinic close to the scene.

“The State should also expedite processes to reclaim these buildings to avoid similar disasters from taking place in the future. The people living in these buildings deserve better than the squalor they have been forced to live in,” Ngobeni stated.

Reality TV star, footballer and aspiring polygamist Mpumelelo Mseleku is expecting his third child.

This is according to his first girlfriend and mother of his first child Vuyokazi Nciweni on their reality TV series called Izingane Zes’thembu which wrapped up its first season on Tuesday.

Izingane Zes’thembu stars Musa Mseleku’s children Sne, Mpumelelo, Lwandle, Mpilo and Abongwe. The show is a spin-off of the their family’s reality series, Uthando Nes’thembu.

 
MPUMELELO MSELEKU’S FIRST GIRLFRIEND ANNOUNCES SECOND PREGNANCY
On the final episode of the reality show, Mpumelelo’s girlfriends – Vuyokazi and Tirelo Kale – confronted him about the highly-publucised sex tape that was circulating on social media earlier this year. The 22-year-old later shared with his father that he realised his mistake and that he was recorded without his knowledge or consent.

Before the show ended, Vuyokazi and Mpumelelo met up where she shared with him that she is pregnant again. In previous episodes, while her “sister-girlfriend” Tirelo was still pregnant, Vuyokazi suspected that she, too, was pregnant. Tirelo has since given birth.

“We’re growing the family. We know what we’re on this earth for. I was advised to impregnate her again. My mom needs to relax. My father is going to be happy. This is technically our first child with Vuyokazi. Mhlophekazi is actually my parents’ child. So this is our first child,” Mpumelelo said on the show.

Following the news, X users weighed in. Many blamed Mseleku Snr for Mpumelelo’s views on relationships.

“Mseleku is the reason this boy is so irresponsible, he thinks he is being modern. Mseleku must pray that he lives long because this Mpumelelo boy is not the typer person to lead the family. So this Vuyokazi girl is preg again!! Poverty is a serious drug indeed, ” one X user said.

“Mseleku is enabling Mpumelelo’s behavior, and Mpumelelo has gotten used to the idea that his father will clean up his mistakes,” another wrote.

“Look at the support Musa gives Mpumelelo when he messes up! He’s actually encouraging him to continue but he treated Sne so badly in the past for her mistakes! Disgusting double standards,” another commented.

She was central to the relationship controversies with Zolisa Xalkuva and Katlego Danke.

Thembi stayed with Gomora until its end, and here is what she feels about the whole experience.

Responding to fellow actress Zinzi Nsele, Thembi Seete admitted that Gomora was the best.

THEMBI SEETE REACTS TO GOMORA’S ENDING
Indeed, Thembi Seete enjoyed much success, and giving Gomora such a farewell tells how good the show was.

 

 

 

Thembi had been part of some of the country’s top drama series, shows and movies, but Gomora’s feeling was above all.

Other fellow stars she worked with on Gomora also expressed their hurt to leave Gomora.

Among them is Zinzi, who shared several [posts on Instagram pouring out her heart.

Indeed, Gomora had become more of a family than work to most members.

It was not only Thembi Seete who had some kind words to say about Gomora’s ending but many other actors.

Siyasanga Papu also penned her heartfelt message on Zinzi’s Instagram post. “What a time chomam”

Leera Mthethwa was heartbroken by Gomora’s ending, saying: ” Yhoooo ZINZI Sisi!!! 🥺💔❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Many fans were also left in tears by the news that their favourite TV show is ending.

The Izangoma Zodumo star decided to record herself walking alongside a pride of lions and had her social media followers’ jaws dropped after posting the video on Instagram.

Gogo Maweni has continuously proved that she is not the one to be messed with. From confronting her impersonators to taking night walks at the graveyard and more. She also has a love for animals and has been seen with an owl, rabbits, and most shockingly, a few huge slithering snakes which she claimed to own and occasionally cuddle with at night.

 

 

On her birthday, she chose to take a stroll with three huge lions and looked as though she was part of the pride.
