RIP : Zulu Love Letter Poet, Mxolisi Mtshali, has passed away

Well-known KwaZulu-Natal poet, Mxolisi Mtshali, has passed away. Mtshali was famous for his love poems in original Zulu.

Mxolisi Mtshali is well known as a love poet, he recites his poetry in isiZulu and his poem ‘ Zulu love letter’ which he wrote more than a decade ago introduced performance poetry to people who never thought they will ever listen and enjoy poetry.

The 36-year-old from Nongoma, northern KZN, said being a poet has an element of spiritual attachment, which is why most poets, despite poverty and the lack of gigs, stick to their talent and calling.As a poet, he was once in a dark space but he got back on his feet. Mxolisi dealt with frustrations by writing more poems about love and also the brain behind Poet in a Suit, a poetry show that is held annually in KZN.

Former Imbewu star Nonsindiso Gcaba “Zethu” is officially off the market

Actress Nonsindiso Gcaba, best known for playing Zethu in e.tv’s popular drama Imbewu: The Seed is officially off the market.

Nonsindiso announced recently that she got married traditionally on July 23, 2022.

In a series of images shared on social media, the actress is seen in Setswana bridal wear.


 

 

Phindile Gwala and DJ Happy Gal are some stars who congratulated Nonsindiso Gcaba on her marriage.It has also been reported that Mihlali Ndamase and Leeroy Sidambe sealed the deal over the weekend.

This comes after images of Mihlali and Leeroy wearing matching outfits at what looked like a wedding celebration with friends in attendance surfaced on social media.

Mihlali and Leeroy are yet to confirm nor deny if they got married.

Dr Winnie Mashaba had announced she was married again after divorcing Makgokgo Makgopa.

Winnie Mashaba remains one of the finest gospel musicians in South Africa, and many fans love her.
